MindGap (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an Android app that helps users reduce distracting app usage by monitoring selected apps, showing an interruption screen, and displaying usage progress.
- Information We Collect
We may collect or process the following information:
- App monitoring settings: the package names of apps selected for monitoring.
- Usage-related records: counts of attempted app opens, quit counts, monitoring dates, and monitoring durations.
- App usage access data: when you grant Usage Access permission, MindGap checks the currently foreground app to determine whether it should show an interruption screen.
- Account information: if you sign in with Google, we may receive your Firebase user ID and email address.
- Device and app information: Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob may collect device identifiers, app interactions, crash-related signals, advertising identifiers, IP address, and similar technical data.
- Notification permission status and overlay permission status, used only to operate app features.
MindGap does not collect messages, photos, contacts, call history, precise GPS location, microphone data, camera data, keystrokes, or the content of other apps.
- How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide app monitoring and interruption features.
- Save your selected blocked apps and daily progress.
- Show your usage statistics inside the app.
- Maintain foreground monitoring through a notification.
- Support Google sign-in through Firebase Authentication.
- Show advertisements through Google AdMob.
- Understand basic app performance and usage through Firebase Analytics.
